Manipulation
Lake I6 has undergone no manipulation, but serves as a reference lake for I8 which is undergoing a fish removal experiment to mimic fishing pressure. Regular sampling of I6 began in 1990.

Lake I6 has two major inlets, one from I5 and another entering on the west from a shallow lake know and I6 West Headwaters (I6WH).
