Methods:

Water samples were collected with a
pump. Dissolved oxygen was measured by Winkler titration. Alaklinity
was determined by acid titration to an end point of 4.8. Temperature was
measured with a mercury thermometer. Oxygen isotopes in water were measured
with a mass spectrometer by Dr. Lee W. Cooper, Univ. of Tennessee Knoxville.

Notes: Contains some under-ice data. Oxygen isotope
results are for O-18/O-16 ratios relative to the standard water (SMOW)
used for isotope analyses. Negative results indicate sample is depleted in
oxygen-18.
