Arctic Photochemistry Data Archive

This section includes links to data collected by this project on carbon degradation rates by photochemical reactions and bacterial respiration, on chemistry of soil waters, streams, and lakes, some of which have been impacted by thermokarst failures. We also provide light penetration data for several surface waters.

Data available through the Arctic LTER database are subject to the Arctic LTER's Conditions of Use policy. This policy appears on every dataset. Please read it carefully. Questions concerning datasets provided by the Arctic LTER should be sent to theArctic LTER web master. Specific Questions concerning the Arctic Photochemistry datasets should be sent to Rose Cory (rmcory@umich.edu) and George Kling (gwk@umich.edu).

Photochemical Data

2010-2013_Cory_PHOTOCHEM_Photochemistry - Data file containing optical characterization of colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM). Data include CDOM absorption coefficients, water column light attenuation coefficients, specific UV light absorbance (SUVA254), spectral slope ratio, and fluorescence index from waters near Toolik Lake on the North Slope of Alaska.
2010-2013_Cory_PHOTOCHEM_AQY - Data file describing the apparent quantum yield of photo-oxidation, photo-mineralization, and photo-stimulated microbial respiration of dissolved organic carbon in water samples collected at various sites near Toolik Lake on the North Slope of Alaska.
2011-2012_Cory_PHOTOCHEM_LightProfile - Data file containing the irradiance profile with depth in two rivers on the North Slope of Alaska near Toolik Lake.

Surface Water Chemistry Data
2010-2013_Kling_PHOTOCHEM_Chemistry - Data file describing the biogeochemistry of samples collected at various sites near Toolik Lake on the North Slope of Alaska.

Bacterial Data
2010-2013_Kling_PHOTOCHEM_Bacteria - Data file describing the bacterial production and bacterial respiration of water samples collected at various sites near Toolik Lake on the North Slope of Alaska.
