BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DATA FILE: Nutrient data was collected monthly between April 2001 and December 2002 in collaboration with volunteers from the Parker R. watershed association. All samples were collected on the same day. Samples were analysed for NO3, NO2, NH4, PO4, and Si at UNH using Lachat methods. Headwater stream sites included a range of land uses in the contributing area. Samples were generally collected on the second Tuesday of the month. In the XL file, each date has its own worksheet.

RESEARCH LOCATION: x and y coordinates (meters) in MA State Plane NAD83. Sites were georeferenced to a gridded river network with 120m grid resolution. X and Y coordinates reflect slight shifts to ensure proper placement on the digital river network. Contributing area is listed in km2. Permanent_ID's 1 through 25 correspond with the sample sites of the Parker River Cleanwater Association water quality sample program.
