EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN AND METHODS:

Water samples were collected and filtered (GF/F glass fiber), and frozen for later analysis.  For laboratory analytical procedures, see ANALYTICAL METHODS.

NOTES AND COMMENTS:

VARIABLE DESCRIPTION:

CREEK = creek sampled

STATE X = x coordinates (meters) in MA state plane NAD 83

STATE Y = y coordinates (meters) in MA state plane NAD 83

LAT = Latitude in NAD 83 geographic coordinates (decimal degrees)

LON = Longitude in NAD 83 geographic coordinates (decimal degrees)

DATE = date (dd-mmm-yyyy)

TIME = time 24 hr (hh:mm)

TIDE = stage and direction of tide when sample was collected

BRANCH = branch of creek sampled

SAL = salinity (ppt)

NO3 = nitrate + nitrite (µM-N)

PO4 = soluble reactive phosphorus (µM-P)

NH4 = ammonium (µM-N)

TDN = total dissolved nitrogen (µM-N)

DON = dissolved organic nitrogen (µM-N)

TDP = total dissolved phosphorus (µM-P)

DOP = dissolved organic phosphorus (µM-P)

DOC = dissolved organic carbon (uM-C)

CHLA = chlorophyll a (ug/L)

PART C = particulate carbon (uM-C)

PART N = particulate nitrogen (uM-N)
