Work Experience:

 

2000-present Refuge Manager, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport MA. Management and supervision of biological, public use, maintenance, and administrative functions on a  4,662 acre national wildlife refuge.

 

1999-2000     Project Coordinator, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Parker River NWR Visitor Center and Administrative Headquarters Project, Newburyport MA.  On site coordination of the planning and design of a multimillion dollar Federal visitor, administrative and maintenance facility construction project.

 

1997-1999     Deputy Refuge Manager, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge Complex (now Eastern Mass. NWR Complex), Sudbury, MA. Management of operations of a group of ten national wildlife refuges in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

 

1990-1997     Outdoor Recreation Planner, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge Complex (now Eastern Mass. NWR Complex), Sudbury, MA. Management of the public use program, including interpretation, education, outreach, and visitor center operations for the complex.  

 

1989               Outdoor Recreation Planner, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport MA. Management of public use program for the refuge.

 

1976-1989     National Park Service, Park Ranger, Technician and Aid at five national park areas around the country.  Duties included visitor services, interpretation, law enforcement, and natural and cultural resource management.
