and Site Description
AON Research and Site DescriptionsOur research design focuses on simultaneous measurement of carbon, water, and energy fluxes at hourly, daily, seasonal, and multiyear time scales across the Arctic. At each site, our primary scientific goal is to understand how changes in these fluxes are linked to each other in time. Among sites, and in collaboration with our international colleagues, our goal is to use these time series for PanArctic comparison, for documentation of regional variation and trends in response to climate change, and for regional model development The main sites for the eddy covariance measurements are Imnaviat Creek, Alaska and Cherskii, Russia. Detailed site descriptions for these sites are located on the AON University of Alaska web site.
