Methods:

The response of fish to fertilization was determined by collecting larval grayling from control and fertilized river reaches. Approximately every ten days, larvae were collected from each section using dip nets. They were taken to the field laboratory for length (SL in mm) and wet weight (g) measurements. All larvae not killed when captured were held until their guts were cleared before being weighing. At the end of the season, YOY were collected from three sites in each zone.

Notes: Both standard (SL) and total (TL) lengths were taken this year, as both have been taken in previous years and a conversion factor was needed to compare these data.
