RESEARCH LOCATION:
Geographic Description Solute injection to the reach was made between NA1 and NA2, 165meters downsteam of the Lake I8 outlet. Samples were collected at NA7 and NA10, 299m and 785m downstream of the injection site.

Methods:

Co-injection of NaBr and Rhodamine WT was
made 165 meters downstream of the Lake I8 outlet. The channel
locations were instrumented with Orion bromide selective
electrodes to monitor instream bromide concentrations and guide
the collection of physical samples. Samples were collected
borsilicate glass vials at irregular time intervals weighted to
cover the rising and falling limbs more intensively than other
time periods. Rhodamine WT concentrations were read on a Turner
Designs Model 111 fluorometer. Bromide concentrations were
analyzed by HPLC on a Dionex AS4A Anion column with a detection
limit of 10 ug/L.
Injection Start: 0 minutes
Injection End: 264 minutes
