HOW TO APPLY
SES accepts students from any College or University in three different ways depending on their affiliation.
1) Brown students may attend SES directly through their course offerings. These courses are offered through the Center for Environmental Studies (CES) and are numbered ENVS 1490, ENVS 1491, ENVS 1492 and ENVS 1493 More information can be found in the Brown University Online Catalogue (BOCA). 2) Students attending affiliated institutions receive credit directly through their institution. More than sixty colleges and universities have approved the SES for credit. View participating colleges
3) Students from non-affliated colleges and universities may participate in the SES through Brown University and will receive a full semester of credit from Brown. Students accepted into the SES from non-affiliated institutions should expect to take a temporary leave of absence from their home institutions for the semester and will become guest students at Brown, will pay tuition to Brown and will pay room and board and other fees to the Marine Biological Laboratory.
