EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN AND METHODS:  Porewater diffusion samplers were deployed at the confluence of each creek in October 2003. One sampler was placed in each of the three vegetation zone (TSA, SP, SSA). Porewater samples were collected via diffusion at 5 depths ranging from 10 cm to 110 cm. These samples were collected monthly and frozen until time of analysis. All analysis was conducted at the MBL according to standard lab procedures (see methods).
