BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DATA FILE: Water column nitrate concentrations from the right and left branch of Sweeney Creek during a final test of the pumping system. KEYWORDS: nitrate, test nutrient addition

EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN AND METHODS: Fertilizer was added to Sweeney Creek via the pumping system. Simultaneous bottom and surface water column samples were taken at 15 minute intervals during a rising tide on 21May2004. These samples were taken at T1 on each branch. ISCO autosamplers were used to collect bottom samples and surface samples were collected by hand. Nutrient samples were filtered in situ and then frozen until time of analysis. Nitrate analysis conducted at the MBL using a Lachat Autoanalyzer according to standard lab procedures (see methods). A YSI was also deployed at T1 of each branch.
