The data directory includes data links to various PIE LTER specific and LTER Network specific data. Additional PIE specific data can be found under the headings of Core Research and Signature Data, Education and Outreach, and Physical Characteristics.
Metadata complies with the Ecological Metadata Language (EML) exchange format and can be viewed on line as HTML, Rich Text format (.rtf) or as XML (EML compliant). Data files are available as text (comma-delimited, either *.csv or *.dat) files and also as Microsoft Excel files (*.xls) which include a sheet for metadata and a sheet for data. There are still a few older MS Word metadata files that are undergoing conversion to EML.
